Suffern Free Library Storytime is a favorite activity and the fall sessions are starting soon.
Storytime is more than just reading books, there is also arts and crafts and of course socializing at the library!
Sessions run 9/26-12/16 for ages newborn to 2nd grade. See their website to sign up starting September 12th!
Town of Ramapo: Mini-Camps

We are happy to continue this long standing tradition of mini-camps for our residents in the local schools. Our programs are staffed by qualified and enthusiastic staff that work together to deliver high quality fun and safe programs for our children. All camps include arts & crafts, sports and games, music & drama and weekly themes. Programs will include special events and entertainers and the summer will conclude with the highly anticipated camp show for parents to come and enjoy.
Dates- July 6th - August 14th
Locations- TBD (town elementary schools)
Fee- $200 per child
Hours - 9am-1pm
Eligibility- All camps are open to Ramapo children ages 4 (by December 31st- MUST be toilet trained) through grade 5.
Town of Ramapo: Camp Scuffy

This camp is run at our 25 acre wooded outdoor facility complete with pond, 3 multi-purpose buildings, a swimming pool, mini-golf, tennis courts, street hockey courts, boating, gaga court, basketball courts, soccer/lacrosse fields, 4 baseball fields, a low ropes course, arts & crafts and much more. Your camper will experience lots of time outdoors, with plenty of fresh air and stimulating activities. Each week will be filled with new wonderful special events and themes making each day fun and exciting.
Specialty Camps: Mad Science, Tennis, Basketball and Golf.

Town of Ramapo: Sports Conditioning Camp

If you are looking to become more explosive, faster, and stronger for your upcoming season, this camp is for you! Staff is committed to help participants achieve their full athletic potential by combining an intricate blend of strength and conditioning principles geared towards athletic achievement. The key to success in athletics is participating in a broad range of activities and hard work in the off-season. Speed and strength are not inherited, they are taught! Techniques taught by Suffern High School Athletic Trainer and staff will improve performance and instill a solid exercise foundation in those who attend. Camp will include swimming 2 times a week and three off-site trips.

We offer a fun-filled 2 1/2-hour summer morning program 2, 3 or 5 days a week for 2- to 5-year-olds which encourages individual growth and fosters self-esteem. Indoor and outdoor activities include water play, art, music and creative play. Our beautiful woodland setting and two playgrounds allow for additional science and nature-based activities to enrich each child’s experience. We also have a large indoor playroom for rainy days. Limited space is available.

For over 25 years, Robin Hill has provided the all-activities program of a large camp in a smaller, nurturing environment. We offer flexible programs to fit every budget. The swim program produces confident swimmers. Art & crafts, jewelry making and leather crafts are part of our Creative Arts program. Yoga, dancing and aerobics are part of the Music program. The Sports program includes all sports activities. Animal and science shows, musicians, clowns, magicians are also included. We provide the atmosphere for children’s growth and confidence, and a special summer experience.

Deerkill Day Camp, celebrating over 50 years under the Rhodes family, is a traditional day camp located on 15 beautiful acres in Suffern. Our group leaders are all college graduates, and our superb swimming program and extensive specialty program are taught by professionals. We have ample indoor space for rainy day programs. Hot lunches, trips, towels, free weekend club and other “extras” are all included — there are no hidden costs and tipping isn’t allowed.
